The beauty of Kiri Hartig not only shines on the outside but warmly showcases on the inside. This bright and amazingly gorgeous woman has the most amazing angles I've ever seen. I remember first meeting her at a shoot here in Los Angeles. I arrived to do her makeup and hair, and she was ready to play. Super nice and very humble, we breezed right through that shoot with flying colors thanks to Kiri.
Its an honor to have Kiri as our Protocol Sovereign Beauty as she shares with us her "What's Your Protocol?"
LxP: What’s your Protocol? (Describe your lifestyle rules (Fashion (style), Beauty & Everyday Life, things you enjoy)
KIRI: My main protocol is treating myself and my body with respect. From the basics like exercising, choosing healthy foods, and meditation, to surrounding myself with people who inspire and support me. It's something I've struggled with in the past. I use to go out partying every night and associate with others who never had my best interests at heart. I've learned that how you treat yourself is an invitation for others to treat you the same way. Some days it's much easier than others, but I always try to quiet the negative, self-doubting thoughts and change them into self love and appreciation.
LxP: Best beauty advice You have ever received…
KIRI: The best beauty advice I've ever received is to wear sunscreen everyday. If you want to look young for as long as possible, take care of what you've already got!
LxP: What is your desire?
KIRI: My desire is to have the funds and the freedom to travel the world whenever I want. I love living in different countries, exploring other cultures and learning new languages. Travel encourages a sort of open-mindedness and knowledge that one will never learn from studying in a book.
LxP: When you close your eyes and imagine an empowered woman, what do you see?
KIRI: When I close my eyes and imagine an empowered woman, I see a confident, independent, and empathetic being who never apologizes for speaking her mind, or feels like she needs permission from a man to do what truly makes her happy.
LxP: What is the biggest way in which you see women helping other women reach empowerment?
KIRI: The biggest way in which women can help other women reach empowerment is to stop competing with each other and cutting other women down based on our own judgements. Instead we should encourage one another. I'm a firm believer that the energy you put out in the world is attracted to you. If we are positive and supporting of each other, imagine how much more we will achieve.
